More Information on the
Therapies We Offer
-
Acupuncture is the foundation of care at All is Well Acupuncture. This gentle therapy uses sterile, single-use needles placed at specific points on the body to support the body's natural ability to regulate, heal, and restore balance. Treatment is individualized based on your unique health concerns, goals, and patterns of imbalance.
-
Moxibustion is a traditional therapy that uses the gentle warmth of dried mugwort (an herbal preparation known as moxa) to stimulate acupuncture points and encourage circulation. It is commonly used to promote healing, ease muscle tension, support digestion, improve energy, and help the body recover from illness or injury. The soothing warmth makes moxibustion a relaxing addition to many acupuncture treatments.
-
Electrical stimulation, often called E-Stim, involves attaching a gentle electrical current to acupuncture needles after they have been placed. The stimulation is carefully adjusted to your comfort level and can enhance the effects of acupuncture by encouraging muscle relaxation, improving circulation, and supporting the body's natural pain-relieving processes. E-Stim is commonly used for musculoskeletal pain, nerve-related conditions, and chronic pain.
-
Gua Sha is a traditional manual therapy that uses a smooth-edged instrument to gently glide across the skin. This technique helps improve circulation, release muscle tension, and support the body's natural healing response. Gua Sha is often used to relieve tight muscles, chronic pain, headaches, and neck or shoulder tension. Depending on the area treated, temporary redness or light discoloration may occur and usually resolves within a few days.
-
Fire cupping uses glass cups to create gentle suction on the skin, helping to increase circulation, release muscle tension, and promote the movement of blood and connective tissue. Many patients describe the sensation as similar to a deep tissue massage. Cupping is commonly used for muscle tightness, neck and back pain, athletic recovery, headaches, and respiratory congestion. Temporary circular marks may appear after treatment and typically fade within several days.
-
Tui Na (pronounced twee-nah) is a form of therapeutic bodywork that has been used alongside acupuncture for thousands of years. Using a variety of gentle to firm massage techniques, stretching, and rhythmic movements, Tui Na helps improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, promote joint mobility, and encourage the body's natural healing processes. It can be especially helpful for musculoskeletal pain, stress-related tension, headaches, and recovery from injury. Tui Na is often incorporated into an acupuncture treatment to enhance relaxation and support whole-body healing.
-
Celluma® is an FDA-cleared light therapy device that uses specific wavelengths of red, blue, and near-infrared light to support the body's natural healing processes. This non-invasive treatment may help reduce pain and inflammation, promote tissue repair, improve circulation, support skin health, and encourage overall healing at the cellular level. Celluma can be used on its own or alongside acupuncture to complement your individualized treatment plan.
